A: To assign a guide to a trip, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Bookings tab from the left-hand menu.

Select the booking that requires a guide assignment.
đ Note: If a guide hasn't been assigned yet, you'll see a Fix/Dismiss banner at the top of the booking. Click Fix to jump directly to the assignment screen.

You can either:

Scroll down to the Team Members section and click Add a team member, or

Click Edit Booking â Resources from the right-hand side of the booking.

In the Select Guide section, choose the appropriate guide from your supported guide listâor assign someone manually if they are not in your system.

Click Continue.

Youâll be prompted to send an email to the customer:

To notify them, select their email and choose âReschedule.â

To skip the notification, leave the email dropdown unselected.

â Once a guide is assigned, they will automatically be notified and the trip will appear on their GoGuide calendar.
đ Why does this happen in the Edit Booking flow?
Any update to a tripâwhether it's assigning a guide, modifying trip details, or changing pricingâgoes through the Edit Booking flow to keep all changes consistent and tracked. You always have full control over whether or not the customer is notified.
