GoGuide's asynchronous payment system allows bookings to be created before payment is made. However, availability is not fully reserved until the payment is completed.
When a customer initiates a booking, they receive a checkout link that remains active for 24 hours. If the payment is not completed within this time:
- The checkout session expires
- The trip is automatically canceled
- The availability is released for other customers
This approach provides customers with flexibility while ensuring that unpaid bookings don’t hold spots indefinitely.
