How can clients tip guides by credit card?

Clients can tip their guide by credit card through GoGuide using the Collect Payment feature:

• Go to the booking card in GoGuide.
• Click Collect Payment.
• Choose Custom Charge.
• Enter the amount the client wants to tip and a clear note (e.g., “Guide Tip for [Date/Trip]”).

This ensures the tip is tracked separately from the trip fee.

Fees to be aware of:

• All credit card payments processed through GoGuide (including tips) will have the standard credit card processing fee applied.
• There is currently no way to waive these fees for tips specifically.

Recommendation:
To avoid fees and ensure the guide receives the full tip, many outfitters recommend encouraging clients to tip in cash or via other direct payment methods (Venmo, PayPal, etc.).
